We did a Cookbook Party Club this weekend.

 

 

 

 

Ari made this layered citrus Jello from the antique Jello cookbook that was gifted to me by Micha's grandmother several years ago.

 

 

I made a passover meat pie with matzoh "crust" from the Passover Cookbook I got from Micha's mother a while back. 

 

Micha made a savory tomato cobbler with a pie crust topper out of an issue of Cook's Illustrated. 

 

Owain made a chocolate wacky cake out of B. Dylan Hollis's new cookbook, Baking Yesteryear.

Overall a very tasty dinner! The surprise star was the tomato cobbler.

Our trip to Florida did not go exactly as planned- we got sick partway through and spent way more time lying around at people's houses recovering than intended. But we had some great times and got to see some family nonetheless. 💗

We were already sick on July 1 and didn't get to go out to fireworks, but Elaine made sure we were festive nonetheless.

  

 

 

You can just about see the tape markers from where they had set off the fireworks off this pier the night previous.

 

  

We got Extremely Rained On out at Itchetucknee but a good time was nonetheless had by all.
