Ari wanted a birthday cake based on Fullmetal Alchemist, with a homunculus theme. This is based on Pride the Arrogant.

 

It also has an oroboros on the top (the homunculi have marks with a six-pointed star inside an oroboros) and the philosopher's stone transmutation circle. 

 

 

It's red velvet with strawberry butter cream, strawberry jam filling, and milk chocolate ganache on top.

 

Most importantly, the birthday girl (who is EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD NOW) loved it!

 

Micha took me out to see the Chicks as an early birthday present! We also got churrasco for dinner. It was an incredible evening. 

 

 

Ari had her final bridging ceremony with her Girl Scout troop this Wednesday. The whole troop is off to college, so this was their last thing as a unit, and the leaders gave each of the girls a lovely gift bag with a picture of themselves from a GS activity, and a note, and some other thoughtful things. It was pretty emotional. 💗
